Please note that all manuscripts submitted to Gulf of Mexico Science must now be submitted electronically at http://goms.allentrack2.net.  First time users must register and then follow the online directions for manuscript submission. 

Editorial Policy

All original contributions to marine, estuarine or coastal science in the vicinity of the Gulf of Mexico or adjacent waters will be considered.  *Page charges are $60.00 per page, but are charged only when grant/contract support is available, and lack thereof in no way affects acceptance or sequence of manuscripts. 

Style

Authors are advised to consult the latest issue of this journal for style.  The style sheet for the journal is accessible through http://goms.disl.org/style.  Periodical abbreviations should follow general rules given in 'Style Manual for Biological Journals' (American Institute of Biological Sciences, Washington, D.C., 1960). 

Proofs and Reprints

Page proof is sent to authors directly from Allen Press, and should be read with extreme care and returned within 10 days to the editor.  Allen Press will provide information on reprints.

Manuscript files in Word, WordPerfect, or Text formats
Figures/Images in TIF, EPS, PDF, or JPG formats - Printing cost of color photographs will be charged to the author.
Tables in XLS or DOC formats - Page charges cannot be waived on very long tables.
